Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2024 Toyota Tundra?
The NHTSA records show 34 recall entries affecting the 2024 Toyota Tundra across components such as airbags, fuel pump/fuel tank, wheels/lugnuts, labels, and electrical wiring. These recalls include issues like incorrectly stamped load or tire placards, lugnut cracking that can lead to wheel separation, air bag ECU software errors, fuel pump and fuel tank concerns that may cause stalling, and wiring harness problems that reduce turn-signal visibility. Nalley Toyota of Roswell checks NHTSA records and your VIN at no charge and will advise corrective action; to confirm your vehicle’s status, please schedule service.
How do I check if my 2024 Toyota Tundra has an open recall?
You can check recalls by entering your VIN at NHTSA.gov or bring your VIN to Nalley Toyota of Roswell for a complimentary check by our certified technicians. We also run a manufacturer VIN check during any visit and will notify you immediately if an open recall is found. If you want an in-person check, schedule appointment and ask for a VIN recall check; we offer service financing should you need additional repairs or maintenance not covered by a recall.
How much does a 2024 Toyota Tundra recall repair cost?
Recall repairs for the 2024 Toyota Tundra are performed free of charge under the manufacturer recall program. Nalley Toyota of Roswell will install OEM replacement parts and apply factory procedures at no cost when the recall remedy is available; interim notices may apply for some campaigns (for example, parts availability delays reported in some bumper and fuel-pump campaigns). If additional non-recall repairs are recommended, ask about our current service specials and service financing options to help manage out-of-pocket expenses.
Can I get my 2024 Toyota Tundra recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Manufacturer recall repairs must be performed by an authorized franchise dealer to ensure OEM procedures and parts are used; Nalley Toyota of Roswell is a certified Toyota franchise able to complete free recall repairs properly. Independent shops cannot always access manufacturer remedy parts, software updates, or official campaign procedures and documentation, which can affect warranty and safety compliance. For valid, free recall remedies and documented completion, bring your vehicle to Nalley Toyota of Roswell — schedule service today.
How long does a 2024 Toyota Tundra recall repair take?
Repair times vary by recall: simple label or placard replacements often take under an hour; hardware, software updates, or part replacements may take longer depending on parts availability. For example, wire-harness modifications or ECU software updates are typically completed in a single service visit, while fuel pump or specialized part replacements may require ordering remedy parts and a follow-up appointment. When you schedule appointment, we provide an estimated turnaround and can offer a loaner or shuttle when available to minimize disruption.
Does an open recall affect my 2024 Toyota Tundra's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively affect resale or trade-in value because buyers and dealers often check NHTSA and manufacturer records prior to purchase. Remedying recalls at a Toyota franchise documents that safety issues were addressed with OEM parts and factory-trained technicians, preserving value. To protect value, have Nalley Toyota of Roswell complete free recall work before selling or trading — visit our trade-in page for an estimate: sell your car online.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2024 Toyota Tundra recall?
Some recalls (for example, lamps, brake stability, or safety labels) can affect inspection outcomes if the component affects legally required equipment or safety standards. Addressing recalls promptly with Nalley Toyota of Roswell reduces the risk of failing an inspection and protects safety, insurance coverage, and compliance with state requirements. If you're concerned about inspection status, schedule service and our team will verify open recalls and complete necessary free repairs.
