Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2024 Toyota Sequoia?
The NHTSA has issued 15 recalls that may affect Sequoia vehicles, including wheel lugnuts, electronic stability control, airbags, fuel pump and fuel tank issues, and load capacity labels. These recalls were reported to NHTSA and include multiple safety-related notices for wheels/lugnuts (SET17A), electronic stability control (J0H), air bag ECU software (J0X), and fuel pump/tank campaigns (20TA02/20TB02 and related numbers). If you own a Sequoia, bring it to Nalley Toyota of Roswell for free manufacturer recall repairs handled by factory-trained technicians.
How do I check if my 2024 Toyota Sequoia has an open recall?
You can check recalls by entering your VIN at NHTSA.gov or we will check your VIN for free when you schedule service with us. NHTSA records list specific campaigns by component; provide your VIN or visit NHTSA.gov for official, up-to-date status. Nalley Toyota of Roswell can also notify you of remedy availability and arrange repairs at no charge.
How much does a 2024 Toyota Sequoia recall repair cost?
Recall repairs for covered safety campaigns are free of charge under the manufacturer’s program. Common corrective actions in these campaigns include software updates, replacement lugnuts, replacement fuel pump assemblies, corrected load labels, or fuel tank repairs — all performed at no cost to you. We offer service financing options if you choose additional non-recall maintenance at the same visit.
Can I get my 2024 Toyota Sequoia recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to ensure OEM parts, correct software, and warranty tracking; we strongly recommend using a certified Toyota dealer like Nalley Toyota of Roswell. Independent shops cannot always access manufacturer software updates or official remedy parts; a franchise dealer has factory-trained technicians and OEM diagnostic tools required for safe completion and proper record filing with Toyota and NHTSA. If you need convenience, call or schedule appointment online—our service advisors will confirm the recall and estimated time.
How long does a 2024 Toyota Sequoia recall repair take?
Most recall remedies range from a quick software update (under an hour) to parts replacement that may take a few hours; typical turnarounds are provided when you schedule service. Complex repairs that require parts ordering (for example, replacement fuel pump assemblies) may require a follow-up appointment once the remedy is available; we will inform you of expected timelines. Nalley Toyota of Roswell offers convenient appointment slots and service specials (service specials) to help minimize your downtime.
Does an open recall affect my 2024 Toyota Sequoia's trade-in or resale value?
Yes — unresolved recalls can reduce buyer confidence and can negatively affect trade-in or private sale value because many buyers and dealers check NHTSA recall status before purchase. Having manufacturer recall work completed at Nalley Toyota of Roswell protects resale value and documents that the vehicle is safe and manufacturer-compliant; you can get an appraisal or start a trade-in at our trade appraisal page. Completing recalls can also be relevant to insurance claims and state inspections depending on the issue, so prompt action preserves value and safety.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2024 Toyota Sequoia recall?
Some recalls — such as those affecting braking, stability control, or airbags — can cause a vehicle to fail safety inspections depending on local regulations. Resolving recall items at Nalley Toyota of Roswell prevents inspection issues and ensures your Sequoia meets federal and state safety requirements. If you’re unsure about inspection impact, schedule service and we will check your recall status and advise on next steps.
