Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2023 Toyota Corolla?
The NHTSA records provided contain 28 recalls affecting the 2023 Toyota Corolla across multiple systems, including 10 air bag-related recalls and 4 fuel pump recalls. Key affected systems in these records include: air bag electronic control units and inflators, fuel pumps, seat belts, load-carrying labels, spare tire pressure, windshield wiper switches, brake booster pumps, backup lights, and torque converter components (as noted in the supplied NHTSA data). Nalley Toyota of Roswell monitors NHTSA bulletins and will confirm which of these apply to your vehicle by VIN—we provide free recall checks and repairs at our Roswell service center.
How do I check if my 2023 Toyota Corolla has an open recall?
You can check your VIN on the NHTSA website or bring your VIN to Nalley Toyota of Roswell and we will confirm for free. Online: enter your 17-character VIN at NHTSA.gov/recalls for official recall status and details from the manufacturer. In person: schedule a free VIN recall check at our service department — schedule service — and we will confirm any open items and advise next steps.
How much does a 2023 Toyota Corolla recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are performed free of charge to the vehicle owner under the recall program. Nalley Toyota of Roswell installs OEM parts and performs recall repairs at no cost when the campaign applies to your VIN; we use factory diagnostic tools and manufacturer procedures to ensure the repair meets Toyota standards. If you need other non-recall maintenance at the same visit, ask about our service specials and available service financing so you can get service now and pay later.
Can I get my 2023 Toyota Corolla recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs under a manufacturer's campaign must be completed by an authorized dealer to guarantee free OEM remedy and documented compliance with NHTSA requirements. Independent shops may not have access to manufacturer-supplied recall parts or the OEM software and logging required for some campaigns (for example ECU noise filters or fuel pump replacements), so a certified Toyota franchise is the safest choice. Nalley Toyota of Roswell is a factory-authorized Toyota dealer with trained technicians and OEM parts; you can schedule appointment for free recall service with confidence.
How long does a 2023 Toyota Corolla recall repair take?
Repair time varies by campaign: many ECU filter installs or label replacements can take under an hour, while fuel pump or torque-converter replacements can take several hours to a full day depending on part availability. Nalley Toyota of Roswell will provide a realistic time estimate when we confirm the recall by VIN and can often perform quick repairs the same day; please schedule service so we can prepare parts and technicians. If a repair requires an interim notice (as some fuel pump campaigns have), we will keep you informed about scheduling and expected remedy availability.
Does an open recall affect my 2023 Toyota Corolla's trade-in or resale value?
Yes—unresolved recalls can reduce trade-in and resale value because many buyers and dealers verify recall status before purchase. Getting recalls completed at a certified Toyota dealer protects vehicle value by providing documented OEM repairs that appear on service records and vehicle history reports. When you are ready to trade, visit our appraisal page to get a current estimate: sell your car online.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2023 Toyota Corolla recall?
Possibly—some recall issues (for example back-up light failures or brake booster pump problems) affect equipment required by state inspections and could lead to a fail. If you have an inspection coming up, bring your VIN to Nalley Toyota of Roswell and we will check open recalls and, if applicable, complete the free manufacturer repair to help you pass inspection. We also offer service financing and can advise about any non-recall repairs you may need to meet local inspection rules—schedule appointment today.
