Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2018 Toyota Yaris?
The NHTSA record provided lists eight recalls related to the Toyota Yaris family; some apply to specific model years or markets and may not directly affect every 2018 Toyota Yaris. Summary: recalls in the data affect components including the electrical system/wiring harness (airbag sensor wiring that can crack/corrode), front and rear suspension (strut bearing and rear axle bolts), structure (roof headliner impact compliance in certain model years/markets), and a tire/label issue for certain vehicles. Action: Nalley Toyota of Roswell can verify your vehicle's status and perform any required recall repairs free of charge; schedule service to confirm.
How do I check if my 2018 Toyota Yaris has an open recall?
The fastest way is to enter your VIN at NHTSA.gov or bring your vehicle to our dealership for a free VIN check. We recommend you check the NHTSA database and then contact Nalley Toyota of Roswell so our factory-trained technicians can verify results and arrange any required recall repair. If you prefer, call us or schedule service and we will run the VIN check at no charge and explain next steps.
How much does a 2018 Toyota Yaris recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are performed free of charge to the vehicle owner when covered by a recall. Nalley Toyota of Roswell performs these repairs using OEM parts and factory-trained technicians at no cost; we also offer service financing if you need other non-covered work completed now and pay later. For any combined repairs not covered by the recall, ask our service advisors about available promotions on our service specials and financing options.
Can I get my 2018 Toyota Yaris recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be performed by an authorized dealer to ensure OEM parts, proper tooling, and factory repair procedures are used; a certified franchise dealer is the safest choice for recall work. Nalley Toyota of Roswell uses manufacturer diagnostic tools and factory training to ensure recalls—such as airbag wiring harness replacements or suspension component updates—are completed to Toyota standards and documented with the manufacturer. If you want the guaranteed free remedy under Toyota's program and official recall records updated, schedule service with our certified team in Roswell.
How long does a 2018 Toyota Yaris recall repair take?
Most recall repairs take between one hour and a full day, but exact time depends on the specific recall and parts availability. For example, wiring harness replacement for airbag sensors or an inspection and bolt tightening can often be completed the same day; some suspension remedies may require parts that are temporarily unavailable, which can extend wait time. Contact Nalley Toyota of Roswell to get an estimated turnaround when you schedule appointment; we will advise if interim notices or parts delays apply and offer loaner options when available.
Does an open recall affect my 2018 Toyota Yaris's trade-in or resale value?
Yes—unresolved recalls can lower trade-in and resale value because dealers and buyers often check NHTSA records and VIN history before purchase. Resolving recalls at Nalley Toyota of Roswell protects your vehicle's value and provides documented manufacturer repairs, which can improve buyer confidence and trade-in offers; you can start the process by using our trade-in appraisal tools after repairs. We also offer guidance on documentation and can confirm recall work is completed and logged with Toyota to help preserve resale value.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2018 Toyota Yaris recall?
Some recalls involve safety-critical components that could affect inspection outcomes or insurance claims if not repaired; state rules vary, but unresolved recalls can be flagged during detailed safety inspections. Nalley Toyota of Roswell recommends addressing safety recalls promptly to avoid inspection problems and to keep you and your passengers safe; schedule service for a free VIN recall check and repair. We also provide service financing for non-covered repairs so you can get back on the road safely without delay.
