Key safety issues include air bag ECU malfunctions that might prevent air bag or pretensioner deployment, PCS radar false detections that may apply the brakes, wiper switch shorts that can disable wipers, and fuel filler pipe assembly concerns that could permit fuel leakage. All of these recall repairs are free at an authorized Toyota franchise; contact Nalley Toyota of Roswell to verify your VIN and to schedule service.

Can I get my 2017 Toyota Avalon Hybrid recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to ensure proper OEM parts, updated factory software, and correct documentation; for safety and compliance, we recommend a certified Toyota dealer like Nalley Toyota of Roswell. Repair time varies by recall: simple software updates or label replacements can be completed in under an hour, while component replacements or ECU inspections may take a few hours. If extended parts or components are required, our team will advise you and help coordinate convenient timing; ask about service financing if you need non-recall work at the same visit.
Does an open recall affect my 2017 Toyota Avalon Hybrid's trade-in or resale value?
Open recalls can negatively affect trade-in and resale value because some buyers and dealers verify recall status before purchase. Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2017 Toyota Avalon Hybrid recall?
