Frequently Asked Questions

7 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2015 Toyota Yaris?
The NHTSA has issued 8 recall entries affecting the 2015 Toyota Yaris covering air bag wiring, suspension, roof headliner compliance, rear axle bolts, and a load label issue. These recalls include a cracked/corroded wire harness for front door side air bag sensors (affecting air bag deployment), damaged front strut mounting bearings that may separate, multiple roof headliner compliance notices, improperly tightened rear axle bearing bolts, and a load capacity label correction (SET16A). All manufacturer recall repairs are free and must be completed by a certified franchise dealer like Nalley Toyota of Roswell for proper OEM parts and warranty compliance.
How do I check if my 2015 Toyota Yaris has an open recall?
You can check open recalls by entering your VIN at NHTSA.gov or by contacting our service team—this is the fastest way to confirm recall status. If you prefer local help, bring your VIN to Nalley Toyota of Roswell and our factory-trained technicians will verify open recalls at no charge and advise next steps. If you’re ready, schedule service online and we will confirm recalls and arrange free repairs; we also offer service financing so you can get service now and pay later.
How much does a 2015 Toyota Yaris recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs for the 2015 Toyota Yaris are performed free of charge to the owner under Toyota’s recall program. Free recall work includes parts and labor when the remedy is provided by the manufacturer, and Nalley Toyota of Roswell uses OEM parts and factory-trained technicians to ensure the repair meets Toyota standards. While recall repairs are free, our service department also lists ongoing service specials for non-recall maintenance and offers service financing if additional work is requested.
Can I get my 2015 Toyota Yaris recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs should be performed at a certified franchise dealer like Nalley Toyota of Roswell to ensure OEM parts, proper calibration, and manufacturer warranty compliance. Independent shops may not have Toyota’s proprietary diagnostics, factory training or authorized recall parts, which can affect repair quality, warranty status, and safety compliance. For safe, guaranteed repairs and peace of mind, schedule appointment with our certified technicians—recall repairs are free and we offer service financing if you need additional work.
How long does a 2015 Toyota Yaris recall repair take?
Repair time varies by recall: many inspections or wiring harness replacements can take a few hours, while some suspension or structural remedies may require parts availability and longer scheduling. Nalley Toyota of Roswell will provide an estimated turnaround when you schedule service and check your VIN; some remedies began years ago but parts availability can affect timing for particular recalls like strut assembly replacement. If interim notices are in effect (as they have been historically for certain items), we will prioritize safety-related repairs and keep you informed of any required follow-up.
Does an open recall affect my 2015 Toyota Yaris's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively affect trade-in and resale value because dealers and private buyers often verify NHTSA records before purchase. Having all recalls completed at a certified dealer like Nalley Toyota of Roswell protects resale value, maintains compliance with safety standards, and avoids surprises during inspections or insurance evaluations. To protect value, consider getting recalls resolved before selling or trading your vehicle—start with a VIN check or sell-your-car-online appraisal and then schedule service to complete required repairs; our dealership also offers service financing if needed.
