Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid?
The NHTSA has issued 11 recalls that can affect the 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid covering air bag, forward collision avoidance, windshield wiper switch, fuel filler pipe, and load capacity label issues. These recalls include five air bag ECU items that can disable air bag or pretensioner deployment, three Pre-Collision System items that may cause unexpected braking, one windshield wiper switch short-circuit recall, one fuel filler pipe assembly inspection/repair, and one load capacity label replacement. All manufacturer recall repairs are performed free of charge at a certified Toyota dealer like Nalley Toyota of Roswell.
How do I check if my 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid has an open recall?
You can check for open recalls using your VIN at NHTSA.gov or bring your vehicle to our service department and we will check for free. If you prefer in-person assistance, call or visit Nalley Toyota of Roswell and we will verify your VIN and explain any open recalls and recommended remedies. To book a quick visit, please schedule service online.
How much does a 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid recall repair cost?
Recall repairs covered by Toyota and listed by the NHTSA are free of charge to the vehicle owner when performed at an authorized Toyota dealer. There is no labor or parts cost for covered recall remedies such as ECU inspection and noise filter installation, ECU software updates, PCS component replacements, wiper switch replacement, fuel filler pipe inspection, or corrected load-capacity labels. If you need additional non-recall repairs, ask about our current service specials and service financing options so you can get service now and pay later.
Can I get my 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Manufacturer recall repairs must be performed by an authorized Toyota dealer to ensure the prescribed remedy, parts, and software updates are applied correctly and remain free of charge. Independent shops cannot always access Toyota’s OEM software updates or official remedy parts, so visiting Nalley Toyota of Roswell ensures the repair uses factory-trained technicians and validated procedures. If you have questions about logistics or loaner vehicles, contact our service team and schedule service today.
How long does a 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid recall repair take?
Most recall repairs for the 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid—such as ECU inspection and installation of a noise filter or software update—typically take one to three hours, depending on the remedy and parts availability. Some remedies require replacement components (for example certain PCS parts) which can increase turnaround if parts must be ordered; our service team will give you a specific ETA when you arrive or when you schedule service. Nalley Toyota of Roswell offers streamlined check-in, OEM diagnostic tools, and efficient scheduling to minimize your downtime.
Does an open recall affect my 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid's trade-in or resale value?
Yes. Unresolved recalls can negatively impact trade-in and resale value because many buyers and dealers check NHTSA records and may discount or refuse a vehicle with open safety recalls. Resolving recalls at a franchise dealer like Nalley Toyota of Roswell protects your vehicle’s value and provides documented proof that safety items were remedied with OEM parts. If you are considering selling, get an appraisal or trade estimate and make the recall repairs first—use our trade-in tool at sell your car online.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid recall?
Open recalls are not typically listed as automatic inspection failures in Georgia, but unresolved safety recalls can affect registration, insurance, and a buyer’s willingness to purchase in some states. Because the NHTSA identifies recalls as safety risks—like air bag ECU failures that can prevent air bag deployment or PCS malfunctions that may cause unexpected braking—you should resolve recalls promptly to avoid complications with insurance claims or resale. Schedule a no‑cost VIN check and recall repair at Nalley Toyota of Roswell via our online schedule service page, and ask about service financing if needed.
