What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2014 Toyota Prius v?
The NHTSA lists 9 recalls that affect the 2014 Toyota Prius v, primarily involving the hybrid propulsion system, occupant classification air bag calibration, and an aftermarket tail light issue. Most recalls concern excessive voltage or overheating in the inverter/Intelligent Power Module (IPM) that can cause the hybrid system to reduce power or unexpectedly shut down, creating a stall risk. There is also a recall for the occupant classification system (OCS) that may prevent the passenger air bag from deploying and an aftermarket tail light recall handled by Genera Corporation. All manufacturer recall repairs are performed free of charge at Nalley Toyota of Roswell; to schedule service click the link or call our service team.
How do I check if my 2014 Toyota Prius v has an open recall?

How much does a 2014 Toyota Prius v recall repair cost?
Recall repairs for the 2014 Toyota Prius v are free of charge when performed under the manufacturer recall program. Toyota covers parts and labor for NHTSA-listed recalls; Nalley Toyota of Roswell performs the service at no cost to you. We also offer service financing if you choose additional non-recall work so you can get service now and pay later.
Can I get my 2014 Toyota Prius v recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Manufacturer recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to ensure OEM parts, proper calibration, and warranty tracking; for the 2014 Toyota Prius v we recommend a certified Toyota dealer. NHTSA recognizes repairs performed at authorized franchise dealerships; Nalley Toyota of Roswell has factory-trained technicians and OEM diagnostic tools to perform recall repairs correctly and record them with Toyota.
How long does a 2014 Toyota Prius v recall repair take?
Most software updates and OCS calibrations are completed within a few hours; some inverter repairs may require longer if parts or inverter assembly replacement is necessary. Typical recall software updates for hybrid control ECUs are often same-day; if an inverter replacement is required we will provide a realistic timeframe and keep you informed. To reduce wait time, please schedule service online and check our current service specials.
Does an open recall affect my 2014 Toyota Prius v's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively impact resale and trade-in value because some buyers and dealers check NHTSA records before purchase. Resolving recalls at Nalley Toyota of Roswell protects your vehicle's market value and reassures buyers that safety issues were addressed using OEM parts and dealer documentation. If you are considering selling, get a free recall check and consider our online trade offer at sell-your-car-online.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2014 Toyota Prius v recall?
Some states and inspection programs may consider unresolved safety recalls during inspections; addressing recalls helps ensure compliance and safety. Because several Prius v recalls relate to hybrid power loss or air bag deployment, leaving them unresolved could present inspection or insurance concerns; we recommend prompt service.
