Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser?
The NHTSA records show multiple recalls affecting the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser involving fuel pump issues, seat belt sensor wiring, incorrect air bag assemblies, improperly installed accessories, and labeling/tire capacity concerns. Specifically, the data includes three fuel pump recalls that can cause engine stall; six seat belt/tension sensor recalls that can deactivate passenger airbags; four air bag assembly recalls for incorrect parts; two equipment/accessory installation recalls; one label recall; and one tire/load label recall. These recalls come from NHTSA-manufactured reports and Toyota/Lexus safety campaigns; Nalley Toyota of Roswell monitors these notices and notifies owners when remedies are available.
How do I check if my 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser has an open recall?
Check your VIN on NHTSA.gov or bring your vehicle to Nalley Toyota of Roswell for a free VIN recall check. You can run your 17-digit VIN at NHTSA.gov to see open recalls, or call Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 for Toyota recall numbers like 20TA02 and H0S when relevant. To verify in-person and to book repairs, schedule service with our factory-trained technicians and we'll confirm any open campaigns at no charge.
How much does a 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are performed at no cost to the owner; recall repairs are free under Toyota’s campaign rules. At Nalley Toyota of Roswell, recall repairs use OEM parts and factory diagnostic tools and are handled free of charge by certified technicians—there is no customer labor or parts fee for covered campaigns. If additional non-recall repairs are requested, we offer transparent estimates and service financing to help you get service now and pay later.
Can I get my 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to ensure OEM parts and warranty compliance; a certified franchise dealer is the recommended and safest choice. Independent shops may not have access to manufacturer remedy parts, updated service procedures, or the ability to record the repair with Toyota and NHTSA; Nalley Toyota of Roswell is a certified Toyota dealer using factory-trained techs and OEM parts. To arrange a factory-authorized repair, schedule service online and we will perform the recall work free of charge and document it properly.
How long does a 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser recall repair take?
Repair time varies by campaign: many fixes (like label replacement or bolt torque checks) can be completed in under an hour, while part replacement (fuel pump or air bag assemblies) may take several hours or a day. At Nalley Toyota of Roswell we provide precise turnaround estimates when you schedule service; fuel pump and air bag assembly replacements depend on parts availability, though Toyota often provides interim notices until remedies are ready. If you need a loaner, shuttle, or expedited appointment, mention it when scheduling; we work to minimize your downtime while prioritizing safety and correct repairs.
Does an open recall affect my 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively impact trade-in value and buyer confidence; many dealerships and private buyers check NHTSA recall status before purchase. Resolving recalls at a certified dealer like Nalley Toyota of Roswell protects resale value by documenting completed OEM recall repairs; you can also get an appraisal via our trade-in page after repairs are completed. We recommend addressing open recalls promptly to maintain market value and avoid pricing reductions during trade or sale.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser recall?
State inspection rules vary, but certain safety-related recalls—like seat belt sensors or air bag issues—could cause inspection failures in some jurisdictions. Because recalls can affect safety systems and an inspection station may flag noncompliant airbags, Nalley Toyota of Roswell recommends getting recall repairs completed at our certified service center to avoid inspection issues and potential insurance complications. If you need help before inspection, schedule service and our team will check recall status and advise on next steps; service financing is available for qualifying non-recall work.
